Mapping Design in Civic Spaces
Are you a civic designer looking to connect with others in the field or just curious to learn what civic design is all about?
Join 18F, Civic Hall, and other leaders in the civic service design space for an evening of sharing successes, blockers, and hopes for the future. Representatives from organizations in and outside of government will gather for a mix of storytelling, discussions, and networking. Speakers will present insights and lessons learned from their work and attendees will work together to find patterns of problem solving and paths forward.
The event will consist of a series of lightning talks from 18F, the New York City Civic Service Design Studio, and others (TBA). After the talks there will be break out sessions that will focus on sharing the ways we actually get the work done.
Hosted by the 18F Design Chapter and Civic Hall
18F is a civic technology shop within the federal government, working to improve the user experience of government services through user-centered design and agile methodologies.
