This year’s Neighborhood Challenge 5.0 competition pairs nonprofit community organizations and tech companies to create and implement tools that address specific commercial district issues. The competition seeks to make awards of up to $100,000 to fund innovative ideas that use data and technology to improve operations, target services, or address local public policy challenges.

What you can expect:
The Neighborhood Challenge Kick Off will provide an overview of the competition, guide nonprofit community organizations and tech companies to explore New York City commercial district challenges, facilitate connections and introductions, and ultimately help to form project partnerships.

For the Kick Off event we need:

  • Technology companies
  • Community-based Development Organizations (Business Improvement Districts, merchants associations, chambers of commerce, local development corporations, and others)

Neighborhood Challenge 5.0 awards provide funding to nonprofit organizations, in partnership with technology companies, to create and implement technology tools that address challenges in New York City commercial districts.
